Yash Raj Films’ latest Diwali release ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ has taken a huge hit at the ticket window over the weekend and Monday.
After a huge start on Thursday, the costume-drama could only garner a business of Rs. 117.50 over the four day weekend. The film is said to have collected the same in three days, with no holiday, similar to ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, again with no holiday.
Box Office India reports that ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ mustered in around Rs. 6 crore nett on Monday, which is rather concerning as its first week is now forecast to be around the Rs. 135 crore nett mark. It is not yet known what the film’s lifetime business will be. However, the film’s budget was over Rs. 300 crore so it now looks like the film will prove a heavy loss for its makers.
