Today saw the release of Akshay Kumar and Lisa Haydon starrer ‘The Shaukeens’ and also Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen’s ‘Rang Rasiya’. Both films have had a very slow first day, BizAsia can reveal.
‘The Shaukeens’, which was expected to do a little better than ‘Rang Rasiya’, has done just that but not impressively. It’s achieved about 20-25% occupancy but, even more disappointingly, ‘Rang Rasiya’ has been empty in some places, according to Box Office India.
‘Happy New Year’ which released on 24th October, is still giving the releases steady competition as it continues its dream run at the box offices both domestically and internationally.
