Box Office: ‘Sui Dhaaga’ starts off on average note

This weekend’s release ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made In India’ has got off to an average start at the box office in India.

According to Box Office India, the Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer, garnered around 25% business in morning trading. This opening was similar to films like ‘PadMan’ and ‘Raid’ released earlier this year. The film’s business could also be dented with tonight’s Asia Cup final between India and Bangladesh.

It remains to be seen if ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made In India’ performs well at the box office, ahead of the Tuesday holiday in India for Gandhi Jayanti, which could also work in the film’s favour.

The second release this weekend, ‘Pataakha’ has been dull with collections around 5%.
