Box Office: SRK’s dwarf film & ‘Kedarnath’ clash remains

With Aanand L Rai’s next film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, on course for release in December 2018, it is most likely to clash with Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’ on 21st December.

While, Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Simmba’ averted a clash with the two films by shifting its release a week later, it now will be the clash of the titans between the other two films.

Kapoor took to Twitter to confirm that his film ‘Kedarnath’, which will see Sara Ali Khan’s debut, will release on the day it was announced. “To all my friends in the media, #kedarnath is on schedule for 21 st dec 2018. #jaibholenath.”

Earlier, Khan spoke about box offices clashes, telling PinkVilla, “I think whenever you can, it’s nicer for both films. If you can’t, then you have to release on the same date because when you are looking for alternate dates so that two films don’t come on the same day, you request and talk to each other. And mostly what we do on the big ticket films is that since our films are expensive and big, my logic has always been that if it (date change) can be done, it’s nice.”
