Speculation this week suggested that the release of ‘Sooryavanshi’ was going to be delayed, due to the rise in coronavirus cases in the sub-continent. And now it’s been confirmed that the film will not be releasing on 30th April as recently announced.
“”The Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr Uddhav Thackeray had a discussion with director Rohit Shetty yesterday. In the meeting, Mr Uddhav Thackeray appreciated Rohit Shetty as he took the brave and difficult decision of postponing Sooryavanshi owing to the current COVID situation in the state”, said a statement released by the makers, according to Hindustan Times.
In an attempt to curb the rise in cases, there has been a curfew announced by the Maharastrian government for the weekend from 8pm on Friday to 7am on Monday.
