Box Office: ‘Simmba’ becomes Rohit Shetty’s biggest hit ever


Last year’s blockbuster ‘Simmba’ has become Rohit Shetty’s biggest ever hit after overtaking the lifetime business of ‘Chennai Express’ (2013) starring Shah Rukh Khan.

It was reported earlier that ‘Simmba’ has garnered Rs. 227.71 crore, compared to Rs. 227.13 crore that ‘Chennai Express’ made in its lifetime during its release.

“Simmba crosses the lifetime business of Chennai Express and emerges Rohit Shetty’s highest-grosser. Week 3 – Friday 2.60 crore, Saturday 4.51 crore, Sunday 5.30 crore, Monday 2.86 crore. Total: Rs. 227.71 crore. India business. Blockbuster,” tweeted Taran Adarsh.

‘Simmba’ starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, is Shetty’s eighth consecutive film to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark.
