This weekend’s huge Punjabi release ‘Sardaar Ji 2’ has had a historic opening beating the new Hindi films namely ‘Junooniyat’ and ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’.

According to Box Office India, the Hindi films have only been able to rake in around 5% business on their opening day. Their biggest opposition will be ‘Sardaar Ji 2’ starring Diljit Dosanjh. The film has had a bumper start at the box office in Delhi and Punjab. ‘Sardaar Ji 2’ is showing houseful signs in Wave Delhi and PVR Suhash Nagar in Delhi.

Hollywood film ‘Independence Day 2’ opened up to around 25% collections and has done better in South India.
