Box Office: Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Kaalakaandi’ out in September

Cinestaan Film Company Pvt Ltd announces the release of their next film, ‘Kaalakaandi’ scheduled to release on 8th September 2017, starring Saif Ali Khan.

Having written one of the best new age comedy ‘Delhi Belly’ back in 2011 which received quite an overwhelming response from the audience, Akshat Verma is all set to showcase his first directorial venture with ‘Kaalakaandi’.

Set in Mumbai, the movie is said to be a thrilling dark comedy based on the lives of six urban and ambitious characters from different worlds. ‘Kaalakaandi’ is going to be a raucous tale about life, death and karma that barrels through one monsoon night.

The film was written specifically with Khan in mind. It took over two years before the script was presented to the actor and to add to their surprise, Saif gave a nod in just 5 minutes after reading it.

Produced by Cinestaan Film Company and Ashi Dua Sara of Flying Unicorn, the film stars Saif Ali Khan along with the eclectic ensemble of Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raz, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam.
