Box Office: Rakesh Roshan prepones ‘Kaabil’ release

For so many months, headlines have been dominated somewhat with the upcoming clash between Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ which were both set to release on 26th January. However, producer Rakesh Roshan has now decided to release his film ‘Kaabil’ earlier.

Rakesh has moved the release of the Sanjay Gupta directorial to 25th January, meaning the clash with ‘Raees’ has been averted. The film is now scheduled for release a day earlier, but both films are still seeking to take advantage of the Indian Republic day weekend.

It’s been evident with previous such clashes that two films very rarely get the same exposure when they release on the same day. There have been rumours of talks between Rakesh and the producers of ‘Raees’, Excel Entertainment. It was being said that neither side was willing to budge.
