Box Office: ‘Ragini MMS 2’ gets decent opening; ‘Gang of Ghosts’ dull

Balaji Motion Pictures produced ��Ragini MMS 2�۪ has had much promotion happening in recent weeks. Sunny Leone stars in the film which was expected to bring the crowds in just because of her presence. BizAsia can reveal that the film has opened fairly well at the domestic box office.

The film�۪s occupancy has managed a decent 40% and is doing well in both multiplexes and single screens. There have been many news snippets in promotion of the film as well as TV activities. Comparatively to ��Shaadi Ke Side Effects�۪ a few weeks ago, which was also co-produced by Balaji, ��Ragini MMS 2�۪ has done a lot better on opening day. Whether the evening will continue in the same vain is debatable as the cricket may well win over the cinema for average viewers.

��Ragini MMS 2�۪ is not the only release today as ��Gang of Ghosts�۪, ��Ankhon Dekhi�۪ and ��Lakshmi�۪ also hitting the theatres. It is thought that Meera Chopra�۪s debut film ��Gang of Ghosts�۪ is fairing the best of the three.

Last week�۪s ��Bewakoofiyaan�۪ has had a dull first week what with ��Queen�۪ ��� which released the week before ��� proving popular even a week after release. ��Bewakoofiyaan�۪ managed just over 12 crores nett.
