Box Office: ‘Race 3’ gets off to huge start despite pre-Eid celebrations

Salman Khan’s much hyped thriller ‘Race 3’ has got off to a huge start at the box office in India, despite pre-Eid celebrations.

The film had an excellent opening of around 55%, a little less than ‘Baaghi 2’ in terms of occupancy, according to Box Office India.

‘Race 3’ has opened best in Delhi and East Punjab, as they are unaffected by pre-Eid. The film is expected to surge in business on Saturday when Eid is celebrated in India. However, today’s business will best collected in international markets where Eid is being celebrated.

‘Race 3’ has already recouped a lot of its money through digital and theatrical rights, so it remains to see how much money it’ll be able to make from theatrical business.
