Box Office: ‘Race 3’ clash with ‘Sanju’ averted in Pakistan

When it was announced that Pakistan had placed a two-week ban on Indian films during Eid, there was much talk about the season’s two biggest releases; ‘Race 3’ and ‘Sanju’ clashing at the theatres across the country. However, news has it that the ban has now been reduced to avoid such a huge risk from taking place.

As Mid-Day reports, Salman Khan is a huge hit with Pakistani audiences, so distributors of his film became worried about their business upon hearing about the ban. Presenting their case to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry in the country, it was decided the ban would only last for one week. Meaning, Khan’s ‘Race 3’ will be able to release on 23rd June, followed by Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, releasing on 29th June.

What’s more, is that ‘Race 3’ has also been said to carry the trailer of the Kapoor starrer, which is the famous biopic of Khan’s best friend Sanjay Dutt.
