Box Office: ‘R… Rajkumar’ gets off to a good start

Today�۪s release is Prabhu Dheva�۪s ��R��_ Rajkumar�۪ starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in the main lead roles. The movie has gotten off to a decent start at the box office, BizAsia can reveal.

According to Box Office India, the film has opened to 30%+ occupancy up and down the sub-continent with many areas registering at 50%. ��R��_ Rajkumar�۪ is in the action genre and puts Kapoor back in such a role after his success in 2009�۪s ��Kaminey�۪. He is seen with Sinha for the first time and they make a pleasant-looking couple on-screen and provide a fresh jodi for the viewers which can only be a good thing to lure audiences. ��Phata Poster Nikla Hero�۪ (2013) emerged as Kapoor�۪s biggest opener and it remains to be seen whether ��R��_ Rajkumar�۪ will top that.

Today also sees the release of ‘Club 60’ which has started on a low as expected. Punjabi release ‘Love Yoou Soniye’ also hits screens today starring Karanvir Bohra and Teejay Sidhu.

Last week�۪s release ��Bullett Raja�۪ seems to have struggled through the last week and has managed to make 31 crores net which isn�۪t too good.
