Box Office: ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’ has a fair start

This weekend’s biggest release ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’ has opened fairly at the box office in India.

According to Box Office India, the film’s collections ranged between 20% to 25% in early figures on its first day. The report adds that the film had a better start in some theatres around Delhi with up to 45% collections. The figures were much lower in East and CP Berar.

The occupancy of the film is said to better than films like ‘Bombay Velvet’ and ‘Katti Batti’.

The other release ‘Chinar – Daastaa E Ishq’, ‘Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi’ and ‘Wedding Pullav’ were abysmal. Only ‘Wedding Pullav’ managed to garner up to 5% occupancy.
