Box Office: Poor opening for ‘Badla’ in India

Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu’s thriller ‘Badla’, helmed by Sujoy Ghosh, has had a poor start in India.

According to Box Office India, ‘Badla’ opened up around the 10-15% mark. The film will need heavily to rely on word-of-mouth if it has any chance of survival at the box office this weekend. Even though, its a different genre, last week’s film ‘Lukka Chuppi’ and the hit film ‘Total Dhamaal’ may continue to steal audiences this weekend.

Despite this, ‘Captain Marvel’ has taken an exceptional start at the ticket window in India. The film has opened up with business around 50%.
