Box Office: ‘Piku’ edges out ‘Kuch Kuch Locha Hai’ on opening day

While this weekend’s two releases have had a slow start at the domestic box office, its Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’ that has a slight edge over ‘Kuch Kuch Locha Hai’.

According to Box Office India, ‘Piku’ opened up between 15% – 20%, while ‘Kuch Kuch Locha Hai’ had a lower start with just around 10% collections. Both films have opened up quietly also on single screens.

‘Piku’ is expected to perform slightly better than ‘Kuch Kuch Locha Hai’. The latter was made on half of the costs of ‘Piku’. It will be interesting to see how the two films will manage over its first weekend of release.
