Box Office: ‘Phillauri’ starts off slow

Anushka Sharma’s latest home production ‘Phillauri’ has had a slow start at the box office in India.

According to Box Office India, ‘Phillauri’ has started off in the range of 20% in most parts of India. However, in North India (Punjab) and some multiplexes in Delhi, the opening was up to 35%. The opening is somewhat disappointing considering the amount of publicity the film had undertaken.

The film’s fate will be decided on the basis of Saturday and Sunday business. The report adds that collections from Mumbai, Thane and Pune will be important for the film’s survival.

Other releases ‘Anarkali Of Aarah’ and ‘Bhanwarey’ have opened up below par.
