Box Office: ‘Phata Poster Nikhla Hero’ emerges as Shahid Kapoor’s biggest opener

This week has just one release and that is of Bollywood action comedy ‘Phata Poster Nikhla Hero’ which stars Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz in lead roles. First day collections show that the movie is doing well at the ticket windows at the domestic box office.

Produced by Ramesh Taurani and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the movie is enjoying 40-50% occupancy and doing particularly well in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, according to Box Office India. The film is the Kapoor’s career’s biggest opening.

Last week’s ‘Grand Masti’ has had a fabulous first week, raking in 65.50 crores nett. However, whether the movie will reach 100 crores is yet to be seen.
