Box Office: Pakistan imposes ban on ‘Durj’ release

Shamoon Abbasi’s ‘Durj’ has been denied a release in Pakistan by the censor board in the country.

The thriller, which was unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, was expected to release on 18th October 2019 in Pakistan. However, with this news, it now means that ‘Durj’ will release only in international territories including the UK on Friday 11th October 2019.

‘Durj’ is based on true events and highlights cannibalism in Pakistan.

No official word has been given on the film’s ban in Pakistan.
