Box Office: ‘October’ one of Varun Dhawan’s lowest ever openers

Shoojit Sircar’s latest release ‘October’ has got off to a slow start at the box office.

The film, which stars Varun Dhawan and newcomer Banita Sandhu, is one of Dhawan’s lowest openers ever. According to Box Office India, the film generated collections of around 10-15% in morning business. The film’s slow start was expected due to its genre and songs not really making a mark.

Like Sircar’s previous films, ‘October’ is expected to do better based on word of mouth. The film’s reviews have been encouraging and thus the film has a chance of picking up over the weekend.
