Box Office: ‘Mom’ & ‘Guest iin London’ open quietly

This weekend’s two releases ‘Mom’ and ‘Guest iin London’ have had a poor start at the box office in India.

The Sridevi thriller ‘Mom’ has opened slightly better but not good enough despite the hype preceding the film’s release. According to Box Office India, ‘Mom’ had an opening of around 15-20%, while ‘Guest iin London’ registered 8-10%. ‘Mom’ has a better chance of survival this weekend after it gained positive reviews and Sridevi’s pull.

However, both films have been impacted by ‘Spiderman – The Homecoming’ but again the opening of the Hollywood film is below par so it is unlikely the film will affect the business of ‘Mom’ over the weekend.
