Box Office: ‘Mission Mangal’ has a huge start in India; ‘Batla House’ average

The Independence Day celebrations in India has resulted in a staggering opening for Akshay Kumar’s new release ‘Mission Mangal’.
According to Box Office India, the film has had the second biggest opening of 2019 after ‘Bharat’. Tickets prices were similar to ‘Bharat’ but its screen count was less. The business of ‘Mission Mangal’ ranged between 50-55%.
On the other hand, ‘Batla House’ featuring John Abraham has had an average start with a respectable 20-25% opening, less than last year’s ‘Satyameva Jayate’. The film may experience stiff competition from ‘Mission Mangal’ in terms of screen count.
