Film clashes are always a huge risk, so it’s not surprising when many filmmakers decide to change their release dates in order to avoid this from happening. Though both films star Kangna Ranaut, the makers of ‘Mental Hai Kya’ have decided to push back their release to make way for her ‘Manikarnika’.
“Until recently, it wasn’t clear if Manikarnika would hit silver screens on time, because of pending reshoot and VFX work. But the makers of the film have now said that it will come out on the Republic Day weekend,” Deccan Chronicle reports a source explaining.
It went on to add, “Manikarnika is expected to run for at least a few weeks, and if it stays in theatres for over four weeks, it will eat into the collections of Kangana’s next film. That’s why Ekta Kapoor and Shailesh R. Singh have decided to postpone the release of ‘Mental Hai Kya to March 29’.”
‘Mental Hai Kya’ will see Ranaut reunite with Rajkummar Rao as well as share the screen with Amyra Dastur and Satish Kaushik.
