Box Office: ‘Lingaa’ rules over Bollywood releases

Today sees the release of Bollywood movies ‘Main Are Mr Riight’, ‘Badlapur Boys’ and also ‘Life Main Twist Hai’. However, it seems Rajnikanth and Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Lingaa’ is ruling from the Tamil cinema angle.

‘Lingaa’ is reported the widest ever release to hit India in the Tamil market. Interestingly, a cinema house in Chennai is showing 60 shows of the film per day and it is thought, according to Box Office India, that those shows are 90% sold out already.

‘Main Aur Mr Riight’ sees the debut of popular TV actor Barun Sobti and sees him opposite Shenaz Treasury. It seems although it might be a popular choice for many, the majority of business is indeed being overtaken by ‘Lingaa’.

Last week’s release, ‘Action Jackson’ saw a drop ��of an considerable amount after a dull start. It doesn’t even compete this week with the newer releases.
