Box Office: ‘Ki & Ka’ has a dull opening

Ki and Ka poster - 340x

This weekend’s major release ‘Ki & Ka’ has had a dull start at the ticket window in India today.

According to Box Office India, the Kareena Kapoor Khan-Arjun Kapoor film opened to around 15-20% occupancy, which was lower than recently released film ‘Kapoor & Sons’. The report adds that, in Mumbai, the first morning shows from key multiplexes had an audience count of 634 against 3110 (20.38%). Compared to ‘Kapoor & Sons’, the Karan Johar film had 26.05% collections from the same theatres.

The low response to ‘Ki & Ka’, will result in a tough weekend for the film. Its business will now depend on strong word of mouth and positive reviews.
