Box Office: ‘Katamarayudu’ shatters opening day records

The latest release from superstar, Pawan Kalyan ‘Katamarayudu’ has had a stupendous start at the box office in India.

According to Times Of India, the remake of the Tamil film ‘Veeram’ (2014) collected around Rs. 55 crore on its first day and is expected to shatter further records in the opening weekend. The opening of this film has also beaten brother Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No. 150’, which raked in a huge Rs. 41 crore.

Kalyan may not have had the best year last year with the flop ‘Sardar Gabbar Singh’ but it seems ‘Katamarayudu’ will now turn around his fortunes.
