Box Office: ‘Humshakals’, ‘The Villain’, ‘Roy’ to clash in June 2014

Of late, it has become increasingly difficult for filmmakers to secure a Friday release date where their project is the sole release. BizAsia has learnt that next year, in June, there will be a major clash of films happening as ‘Humshakals’, ‘The Villain’ and ‘Roy’ all set to release on the same day – 20th June.

To avoid releasing on the same day as Aamir Khan starrer ‘P.K.’, Sajid Khan moved ‘Humshakals’, which stars Bipasha Basu, Saif Ali Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, from 6th June to 20th June only to be faced for two more films.

There are set to be other clashes during the course of next year, one of which is on 10th January where there are set to be six releases on the same day – two of which are Madhuri Dixit-Nene starrers; ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ and ‘Gulaab Gang’.
