Box Office: ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ makes decent start

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania - Varun Alia Siddharth

This weekend’s much hyped movie ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ has made a good start at the India box office.

The romantic-comedy starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt collected around 50% at multiplexes. Even though the film has had a decent start, its business has been affected by heavy rain in Mumbai and Ramadan.

Box Office India reports that the film’s opening was best in North India, especially Delhi and East Punjab.

‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ has also had its business dented in Maharashtra by the release of ‘Lai Bhaari’, which has opened very well.

As reported earlier today on BizAsia, ‘Ek Villain’ has passed Rs. 100 crore at the domestic box office.
