Box Office: ‘Housefull 3’ starts off on a decent note

This weekend’s release ‘Housefull 3’ has opened up on a decent note with around 35% occupancy at both multiplexes and single screens.

According to Box Office India, ‘Housefull 3’ has opened up better than Akshay Kumar’s previous release ‘Airlift’, which eventually picked up on word of mouth. The opening of ‘Housefull 3’ is probably the third best after ‘Fan’ and ‘Baaghi’. But that is also down to the film being the widest release of the year with around 2500 sites, compared to ‘Fan’ with 2350 sites and ‘Baaghi’ with 2000 sites.

While the film has taken an average start at the box office, it will be interesting to see if it can maintain its hold over the weekend.
