The Hindi adaptation of ‘Haathi Mere Saathi,’ starring Rana Daggubati, Pallavi Joshi and Shriya Pilgaonkar, will no longer release on Friday 26th March as was originally scheduled.

However, the Telugu and Tamil version will continue to release as planned, reports the Times of India. Rumours say that the decision to delay the Hindi version was taken in view of the current increase in COVID-19 cases.

Eros International confirmed the news with a spokesperson saying, “Dear viewers, it pains us to share this news but given the COVID-19 situation in the Hindi markets, the team of ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ has decided to hold on to the release of the film. We shall keep you posted on further developments. However, we will be releasing ‘Aranya’ and ‘Kaadan’ in the South markets on the 26th of March.”

The film, directed by Prabhu Solomon, should be announcing the new release date for the Hindi version soon.
