Box Office: ‘Haseena Parkar’ postponed again

Shraddha Kapoor and Siddhanth Kapoor starrer ‘Haseena Parkar’ was all set for release on 18th August, to clash with ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’. However, it seems makers have decided to push the release once more.

The film, which is directed by Apoorva Lakhia, was meant to release on 14th July but was postponed. Now, it seems the film won’t be releasing in August either. Lakhia is quoted by Asian Age, “There’s no point in trying to get into the current clutter of releases. We can all see what’s happening to all the films that are coming out. If we released on August 18, we would have Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal and Akshay Kumar’s Toilet — Ek Prem Katha behind us. Akshay’s film has tax exemption. Why should we do something as suicidal as releasing out film at a time when the competition is not only tough, but is also impossible to cope with?”

August is definitely filled with interesting releases each week. Hopefully a new date will surface soon.
