Box Office: ‘Good Newwz’ opens up well at multiplexes in India

Dharma Productions’ latest release ‘Good Newwz’ has opened up well at multiplexes across India today, according to figures published by Box Office India.

The Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani release has opened to around 25% occupancy. The film has released on around 1800 theatres going to 3100 screens due to Kumar’s presence. The huge star cast is expected to give the film decent numbers in its opening weekend.

The film has opened up well at multiplexes, similar to last week’s ‘Dabangg 3’. In metros, the film’s business is good in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Bangalore. Other areas including Gujarat, Nizam and CP Berar are disappointing.

Compared to previous Kumar releases, ‘Good Newwz’ has opened up better than ‘Kesari’ but lower than ‘Housefull 4’.
