Box Office: ‘Golmaal Again’ has much bigger opening than ‘Secret Superstar’

‘Golmaal Again’ has taken a big start at the box office window, beating ‘Secret Superstar’ in the much talked about Diwali clash.

Box Office India reports that the Rohit Shetty comedy caper took an excellent opening of around 70%. The film’s opening is best in North India, which has garnered a bumper response – incidentally the previous ‘Golmaal’ films haven’t done so well here previously. ‘Golmaal Again’ has had the best opening for a Hindi film (excluding Hindi dubbed version of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion).

The Aamir Khan production ‘Secret Superstar’ took a slow start on Thursday due to the Diwali festivities but it is expected to pick up today. The film registered Rs. 4.50 crore nett as per early estimates. The film’s opening was best in Bangalore, while UP recorded awful numbers.
