Box Office: ‘Gabbar is Back’ does well on first day

Akshay Kumar and Shruti Haasan starrer ��Gabbar is Back�۪ seems to have opened well on the first day, BizAsia can reveal.

It has seen the best opening occupancies of 2015 so far with many places at a decent 40-45%, according to Box Office India. The film is taking advantage of a May Day holiday and therefore seems to be faring well than recent Kumar films. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali production sees Kumar back to an action film rather than a comedy and this seems to have worked for the actor.

Bollywood releases in May seem to be films which have great potential and one can only hope that it is the month that takes box office figures to new heights.
