Box Office: ‘Force 2’ & ‘Tum Bin 2’ struggle on first day

With last week’s ‘Rock On 2’ reportedly suffering at the box office due to Modi’s demonetisation , it seems this week’s ‘Force 2’ and ‘Tum Bin 2’ haven’t managed to perform much better.

Box Office India states that ‘Force 2’ is getting around 15-20% occupancy overall whereas ‘Tum Bin 2’ is getting about 8-10%. Trade analyst Komal Nahta tweeted earlier that some shows of ‘Tum Bin 2’ were cancelled due to lack of audiences. This is indeed disappointing as the franchise is being continued after a long 15 years. ‘Force 2’, on the other hand, seems to have lost the appeal that its prequel had, with even the soundtrack not creating many waves in the week upto release.

‘Rock On 2’ has had a disastrous first week, averaging around Rs 10 crore. There was no change on the weekend of release and it seems it really has flunked.
