Box Office: ‘Fitoor’ & ‘Sanam Re’ start off slowly

This weekend’s two romantic movies ‘Fitoor’ and ‘Sanam Re’ have opened up on the lower side at the ticket window in India.

According to Box Office India, the occupancies for both films was around 15% with ‘Fitoor’ better in metros and ‘Sanam Re’ better at other centres. ‘Fitoor’ has also opened up more screens than ‘Sanam Re’ with 2000 compared to 1500 approx. ‘Sanam Re’ might do better in the long-run if cinemas struggle to pull in punters for ‘Fitoor’.

‘Sanam Re’ has opened up better than ‘Fitoor’ in Gujarat, Rajasthan and CI. It may do decent business at the box office due to its wide release. ‘Fitoor’ is a lot more costly and thus for it to survive, it must perform better in evening shows and over the weekend.
