Box Office: Dull start for ‘Shorgul’

Its the calm before the storm – quite literally! This weekend’s political drama ‘Shorgul’ has proved disappointing at the India ticket window on its opening day.

According to Box Office India, the Jimmy Shergill starrer, opened up to around 3% at multiplexes. Even Hollywood film ‘The Legend Of Tarzan’ opened up better with around 10% collections.

The calm this week, will be shortlived when the juggernaut ‘Sultan’ releases at cinemas on Wednesday (national holiday for Eid). The film is expected to change the fortunes at the box office for 2016, which so far has been underwhelming.
