Box Office: Dull start for ‘Mardaani 2’ in India

Yash Raj Films’ latest release ‘Mardaani 2’ has started off quietly at the box office in India.
According to Box Office India, the Rani Mukerji cop drama, opened up around 8-10%. The film may pick up during evening and weekend shows but chances are slim.
It is worth noting that ‘Mardaani’ released in 2014, clocked up Rs. 3.50 crore nett on its opening day, while Mukerji’s ‘Hichki’ in 2018 managed to rake in Rs. 3.31 crore nett. It will be interesting to see how much moolah ‘Mardaani 2’ will generate from its first day.
