This weekend’s hard-hitting drama ‘Drishyam’ has had a poor opening and in fact one of the lowest openers for an Ajay Devgn movie in recent times.

According to data from Box Office India, the film’s opening has been described lowest since ‘Tezz’ (2012), which also starred Devgn. Not only that, the film is said to have opened up lower than films like ‘Piku’ and ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’.

Apparently, the film’s collections are on par with the 15th day of blockbuster ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. It is expected to pick up slightly over the weekend. Sources say the film will require a splurge of 50% on Saturday and Sunday for the film to do well.
