Box Office: Decent start for ‘Stree’; ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’ struggles

This weekend sees a contrast of two different films at the box office, with both ‘Stree’ and ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’ both attracting different audiences.

Box Office India reports that ‘Stree’ starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao has opened up to 25% business in initial trading, compared to 15% collections for ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’. It remains to be seen how the two films will fare at the weekend.

‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’ satellite rights have been sold for Rs 27 crore, which will help its business overall, while ‘Stree’ may have a bigger attraction due to its hit soundtrack.
