Box Office: ‘Dangal’ takes a huge start in India

Aamir Khan’s latest release ‘Dangal’ is expected to turn out to be one of the big success stories of 2016 after it took a huge start in India.

According to Box Office India, the wrestling family drama, had an opening around 55-60% – giving it the title as the “second best opening of the year” after ‘Sultan’. The film had an advantage due to its strong advance sales with weekend advances beating ‘Sultan’.

‘Dangal’ is expected to do good business in North India as the film was shot in Haryana. Also, ‘Dangal’ will be able to take advantage of the Christmas and New Year holidays.

‘Dangal’ may prove to be Khan’s biggest release of his career.
