Box Office: ‘Chaar Sahibzaade 2’ opens better than ‘Rock On 2’

In a surprise at the India box office, Punjabi release ‘Chaar Sahibzaade 2’ has taken a stronger start at the box office, over Bollywood release ‘Rock On 2’.

The Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor starrer has had a dull start, with figures around the 10% mark. Box Office India reports that the weak music and weak male leads could be a factor in the film’s slow start. Furthermore, the banknotes issue in India could have also affected the numbers of the film. The film is expected to have a poor weekend if initials are to go by.

The Punjabi film ‘Chaar Sahibzaade – Rise Of Banda Bahadur’ has done exceptionally well in East Punjab with collections around the 40% mark. Furthermore, the Delhi collections are also said to be good. The first part of the movie did well and second is now expected to do similar, if not better business.
