Box Office: ‘Bharat’ gets off to a flying start in India

The Eid release ‘Bharat’ featuring Salman Khan has got off to a flying start in India.

According to Box Office India, the film has clocked up a bumper start in the region of 60-65% – making it the biggest opener since ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ last Diwali. It is also the 14th biggest opener for a Salman Khan film.

The film’s business may get dented today due to India’s first match in the ICC Cricket World Cup. ‘Bharat’ has certainly benefited from the Eid holiday and the extended long weekend will no doubt give the film business of over Rs. 100 crore.
