Box Office: Barun Sobti’s ‘Tu Hai Mera Sunday’ to release in October
After successful screenings at various film festivals around the world, Barun Sobti’s film ‘Tu Hai Mera Sunday’ will be getting its theatrical release on Friday 6th October.
The film, which also stars Shahana Goswami, Manvi Gagroo, Rasika Dugal, Vishal Malhotra, Avinash Tiwary, Jay Upadhyay, Shivkumar Subramaniam and Nakul Bhalla, is about a five men in Mumbai and their love for playing football every Sunday.
Director Milind Dhaimade said, “Until a film reaches its audiences, it only remains a dream. I’m so happy that this incredible dream, not just mine but that of a brilliantly talented collective, is finally coming alive.”
Goswami added, “Working with Milind and the entire amazing cast of this film has been far beyond my imagination of perfection. It was extremely well organised and the instantaneous strong bond the whole team had was magic. I auditioned for this film while I was [in] Paris… and shot it before I finally shifted base to Paris.”
‘Tu Hai Mera Sunday’ was screened at BFI Film Festival in London last year, New York Indian Film Festival, Cinequest Film Festival and Nashville Film Festival this year.
