Dharma Productions’ latest romantic comedy ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ took a flying off start at the box office in India, according to Box Office India.
The Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt film opened up to 30-35% in morning shows. The shows were better in Mumbai and Gujarat – making it the second best of the year after ‘Raees’. ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ opened up on par with ‘Jolly LLB 2’ in North India.
‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is expected to do well as the cost of the film is not too high. The weekend collections are expected to remain on the higher side, giving it a “hit” status. If this evening’s shows continue with the way its started, then the film will emerge as the second biggest opening of the year after ‘Raees’.
