Box Office: Amitabh-Emraan movie ‘Chehre’ postponed to July 2020

Movie connoisseurs have an exciting 2020 to look forward to as legend extraordinaire Amitabh Bachchan and the dynamic Emraan Hashmi will be coming together onscreen for the very first time, for an intriguing noir drama/mystery thriller helmed by Rummy Jafry and produced by Anand Pandit.

‘Chehre’ is all set to release on 17th July 2020, moving on from its earlier April date, on a special request from Shoojit Sircar and Producer Ronnie Lahiri, makers of ‘Gulabo Sitabo’.

Producer Pandit speaks on the new release date, “Yes we have moved Chehre to 17th July, upon a special request from the makers of Gulabo Sitabo. We have always had a fantastic association with Shoojit Sircar and Ronnie Lahiri, and seeing as it was mutually beneficial to not only all of us to give a good release window to these exciting movies, but also to Mr Bachchan’s fans, we decided to now release Chehre on 17th July!”

Producer Lahiri of Rising Sun Films confirms the same, “Our film was ready and we were keen to release it in April. We share a great rapport with Mr Anand Pandit and as the Chehre shoot was going on, we humbly requested him if we could release Gulabo Sitabo in April and he was gracious and kind enough to push the release date of Chehre.”

‘Chehre’ also boasts of a stellar ensemble cast in the shape of Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Drithiman Chakroborthy, Krystle Dsouza, Raghubir Yadav with Annu Kapoor.

While the other details around the film are heavily under wraps, initial reports have suggested it to be a crisp and engagingly thrilling drama based on the legal profession, with Bachchan and Hashmi facing off against each other in pivotal roles.

Releasing on 17th July, ‘Chehre’ is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited and directed by Rummy Jafry.
