Box Office: ‘Alone’ struggles on first day, ‘PK’ continues to soar

Today sees the release of�۪Alone�۪, ��Crazy Kukkad Family�۪ and ��Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene�۪. The first is the one that most have tied their expectations to and unfortunately, the film hasn�۪t really started off well at the domestic box office.

The Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover starrer is a sex-horror film which sees the debut of the latter. However, despite having a decent release in the multiplexes, it seems to be facing a struggle for numbers on the whole. Its success will now rely on word of mouth and performance in the single screens.

��Crazy Kukkad Family�۪, by Prakash Jha, and ��Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene�۪, starring Zayed Khan, seem to be performing even more disappointingly, with the prediction that they may just vanish without a trace in most areas.

Last year�۪s release ��PK�۪ is continuing to do well in its fourth week. Not only has it now crossed a record-breaking 600 crores worldwide ��� currently standing at around 632 crores – but it�۪s also made 12 crores in it�۪s fourth week, an achievement in itself.
