Box Office: ‘Aiyaary’ not releasing this week

After already being delayed from its January release, ‘Aiyaary’ was scheduled to hit theatres this week. However, this will now not happen due to the film being held up at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Mid-Day reports that a screening of ‘Aiyaary’ took place over the weekend with Revising Committee of Ministry of I&B, which was also attended by officials from the Defense Ministry. It was here the body asked for a few changes in the film.

Confirming the news, co-producer Jayantilal Gada said, “There’s a strong chance that Aiyaary will be postponed to February 16. The team will submit the film to the CBFC only after making the recommended changes. The overseas delivery of the film looks difficult, considering we won’t have the censor certificate in time. That will, in turn, affect the India release.”

‘PadMan’ will be the only release at the box office this week.
