Box Office: Aamir’s ‘Dhoom 3’ to clash with Salman’s ‘Jai Ho’?

The ‘Dhoom 3’ trailer was unveiled recently and reaction from industry folk and audiences was positive to say the least. Whilst Aamir Khan might be gleefully celebrating stealing the thunder from ‘Krrish 3’, BizAsia has learnt that he may end up clashing at the box office with Salman Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’, pitted to release just a week later on 31st December.

‘Jai Ho’ was slated for release in January, leaving ‘Dhoom 3’ to round up the year with a bang. However, although Salman was initially wanting the film to do well because of his association with Aamir and Katrina Kaif, who is also in the film, perhaps he has now changed his mind.

A source spoke to Mid-Day, “Salman may have changed his policy after SRK�۪s Chennai Express broke box office records”.

Insiders have also revealed that there has been much done in order to make sure that ‘Jai Ho’ is finished in record time for an earlier release. A member of the unit said, “Though the release date has not been made official, the film will most probably release on December 31. The shoot is almost over”.

Director Sohail Khan has however maintained that the film is still set for release on 24th January 2014.
