Box Office: ‘2.0’ release date pushed back again?

BizAsiaLive.com  had recently reported that the release date for the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘2.0’, has been pushed back to the 15th August, but now it seems this date could be rescheduled once again.

According to The Asian Age, the reason for another shift is down to the VFX work required not being done correctly. The work which is being carried out by an American firm, will need to be done again.

A close source to the project shared, “Forget April 27, I really can’t see how it can open on August 15 — it’s just not ready. And it won’t ready for some months. The 3D special-effects are taking much longer than what was originally planned.”

The source further added, “They were given the job of doing the FX, and they have messed it up. The entire process had to be started from scratch. And the post-production is far from over.”

However, postponing ‘2.0’ again might actually be a blessing in disguise, especially for Kumar. His other film this year – ‘Gold’ is already down to release on the 15th August.
